Sam House

Sam House, MCC, CPCC, is an executive coach, leadership development consultant, and founding partner of Soulutions Leadership and Coaching(tm). Offering customized training initiatives, leadership development programs, and team and individual coaching, Sam assists others to create and maintain a balanced, fulfilling, and highly effective working and living environment.

Sam brings to his work a rich background in leadership development and the training of coaches, facilitating systemic change within organizations, management and supervision. He also maintains a full roster of private coaching clients, including executives, politicians, professionals, entrepreneurs, and managers. In addition, Sam has extensive experience as a licensed psychotherapist. A co-founder of his local chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF), a Master Certified Coach and a Certified Professional Coactive Coach, Sam has a demonstrated record of commitment to the rapidly growing field of coaching and leadership.

As a course leader for The Coaches Training Institute, Sam travels throughout the US and internationally to train individuals in the Coactive Leadership Model, in addition to training coaches in the Co-Active Coaching Model. He is one of a handful of course leaders for The Coaches Training Institute, who does in-depth work to develop powerful, authentically expressed leaders according to the Coactive Leadership Model. Enthusiastically committed to staying on the forefront of experiential learning, Sam commutes to Japan, Spain, the mountains of North Carolina and to northern California regularly to evoke and enhance the skills of participants in the 10 month-long intensive Leadership programs.

In addition, Sam coaches people and offers workshops, emphasizing conscious awareness of emerging polarities in all situations, especially those that include conflict. In helping others to embrace irreconcilable polarities, transcendent choices often emerge to help resolve the polarizing situation. This often includes expanding awareness of the presence of paradox in nearly all situations. Special focus includes the raising of awareness of masculine and feminine consciousness to address these seemingly complex issues.

Sam holds a Bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College and a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University.

A passionate but complete hack as a string player, Sam loves to play his guitar, cello, and viola, despite the dog's howling. As an avid cyclist, skier, snowboarder, and outdoorsman, Sam enjoys bouncing around the backcountry on various toys with his wife, Heather, and his two kids, Emily and Nate.
